I recently purchased the BH Cosmetics Brazil palette and Super Nova palette and am in LOVE. It’s been awhile since I’ve experimented with color eye shadows beyond the normal greeny olives or pinky browns and let me tell you it is so fun!
In honor of the unofficial first days of summer, I did a sunshiny-inspired look! K and I did not do anything particularly fancy– took a stroll through Mt. Tabor park, and ate lunch at a yummy hotdog stand (their fries are made from scratch!), so I kept the look simple.
The details:
eyes: E.L.F. brand eye shadow primer; BH Cosmetics Take Me Back to Brazil palette; BH Cosmetics Super Nova palette; Aurora intensively precise liner in cinnamon; E.L.F. brand eye brow kit
lips: Tarte lipgloss from tarteist lip kit
Step one: set up your face like you normally do (lotion, concealer, blush, etc.)
step two: put on an eyeshadow primer, tap lid with a lighter color/highlighter eyeshadow to lock it in. Take a bigger eyeshadow brush and dip into the orange and burnt orange colors and tap into your crease and just above (feel free to go as dramatic as you’d like!), take a clean brush and dip it into all three yellows and press onto the lid. The yellow is a little light on this palette so here I had to do a couple layers for it to really pop. Top it off with some strategically placed pinky-orange color. I popped over to the Super Nova palette and used some of the Libra shade in the corners of my eyes, and Neutron with my smudge brush on my lower lash line.
step three: use the Aurora brown eyeliner to line the top lash, and double wing it! Feel free to play around with the wings and do what you’d like 😉 Top it all off with some eyelash primer (if you have never tried this–it is amazing!) and mascara.
step six: Spray your face with a makeup setting spritz, and while that dries, feel free to start in on the lips. Since this is a glossy lip color and not a traditional lipstick I didn’t have to prep my lips with a scrub or balm. I just painted it on to finish up the look!
Below is another look with the BH Cosmetics palette–so versatile! and the best part? both palettes are only $16 each (!!!)
