Here in the PNW we do not often get sunshine and warmth in the autumn months. I mean, don’t get me wrong, there is usually some sunshine… it’s just surrounded by days and day and days of rain and/or overcast skies and cold. This last October was a somewhat extended summer and I took full advantage. It put a bit of a cramp in my fall fashion since scarves and knit hats were somewhat impossible to wear except for early morning and late evening… or inside an icy cubicle? So I made due with pencil skirts and tanks!

This mustard beauty is a recent purchase from Jane.com, and this adorable canvas-esque top is a recent purchase from Mango.com. (**side note, I used to resist buying clothes online because I love to try on everything, but the reviews are a great place to see how the garments fit before you buy!). I’m pleasantly surprised with the one-size-fits-most skirt and love that you can scrunch it to be short or pull it out into it’s full glory (picture here it is stretched out as high and low as it will go), and fits from size 2-14.

The details: mustard pencil skirt (Jane.com, available here); white cotton tank (from Mango.com here); sunglasses (similar here).
